VISUAL ARTS PROGRAM

This course is a hands-on introduction to drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture. Students will develop skills in understanding and appreciating art history, aesthetics & studio art techniques.
This is an advanced level art class for the second year student who has a serious interest in arts. Students will explore aesthetics, cultural origins, personal expression as they complete in depth projects aimed to further develop independent voice and artistic skill.
AP 2D Design Portfolio
This portfolio is intended to address two-dimensional (2-D) design issues. For this portfolio, students are asked to demonstrate mastery of 2-D design through any two- dimensional medium or process.
The Drawing Portfolio is intended to address a very broad interpretation of drawing issues and media. Line quality, light and shade,
rendering of form, composition, surface manipulation, the illusion of depth and mark-making are drawing issues that can be addressed through a variety of materials.
